Overview:
Natural and man-made disasters are becoming more frequent, growing more severe and affecting more people than ever before. According to a statement released by the Centre for Research on the Epidemiology of Disasters and the United Nations in January 2009, the average number of natural disasters reported each year increased more than 60 percent. How to fool-proof your organization from these disasters? Man-made disasters are fully preventable with necessary procedures and systems in place. On the other hand, natural disasters may not be preventable but a well-prepared organization would certainly be less affected than others. The purpose of this program is to immerse the participants in the disaster management framework which will help them to develop strategies to deal with both natural and man-made disasters.
